The SPPG has the goal of transforming politics in Nigeria and the rest of Africa.
In 2019, leading Nigerian intellectuals convened in Berlin to discuss how Nigeria can establish a new political order. Following Dr. Obiageli Ezekwesili’s fellowship research at the Robert Bosch Academy, the #FixPolitics initiative emerged in recognition of the dismal performance of public leadership in Africa, reflected in the fact that despite its wealth of natural and human resources, Africa continues to lag behind other regions of the world in the most objective and measurable indicators of human and economic development. SPPG Senegal
Les 15 et 16 février 2023, le mouvement FixPolitics a été lancé au Sénégal en présence d’une délégation nigériane composée de Mme Alero Ayida-Otobo, directrice exécutive de FixPolitics Africa, et de M. Anthony Ubani, directeur exécutif de FixPolitics Nigeria. La cérémonie s’est tenue à l’Institut de Droit de Dakar (ISDD) en présence de l’équipe sénégalaise dont M. Latsouck GUEYE, coordonnateur de FixPolitics Sénégal ; M. Adama GAYE, journaliste et co-fondateur de FixPolitics Sénégal ; Pr Alioune Badara Fall, agrégé de droit et enseignant à l’Université de Bordeaux ; Pr Babacar Guèye, agrégé de droit de l’UCAD et directeur de l’Institut Supérieur de Droit de Dakar (ISDD) ; Dr Baidy DIA, enseignant-chercheur et chef du Département de Didactique de l’Anglais de l’UCAD.
SPPG Kenya
On September 28- 30, 2024, the FixPolitics movement and the SPPG was launched in Kenya in the presence of a Nigerian delegation composed of Dr Obiageli “Oby” Ezekwesili, the Founder of SPPG and Chair Emeritus of #FixPolitics, Ms. Alero Ayida-Otobo, Chief Executive Officer of SPPG Africa, and Mr. Anthony Ubani, Executive Director of FixPolitics Nigeria. The ceremony was held at the Nairobi Kenya in the presence of the Kenyan team including Prof. H.E Erastus J.O. Mwencha, Co-Convener of FixPolitics Kenya; Nancy Muigei, also Co-Convener of FixPolitics Kenya, and other intellectuals.
